Craig Dobson is an Emmy Award-winning producer, with over three decades of experience. He has created a feature film, documentaries, music videos , commercials and PSA’s as well as other media platforms including corporate and marketing productions. Craig’s hands on experience includes being a producer, director, cinematographer and editor. After a few years at ESPN producing auto racing, Craig launched Siberian Films in 2000 which is now the production arm of Smart Dog. For the past Twenty years Craig has produced and directed for clients like Pepsi, Mt. Dew, Aquafina, The Port Authority of NY & NJ, The BBB, CohnReznick, Unilever and Harman/Kardon. For the last thirteen years Siberian Films has produced most of NewYork Presbyterian’s media needs for all of its hospitals including The Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.
Notable charitable organizations Craig has worked with are the Domus Foundation, Kids in Crisis and the Children’s Aid Society.
Having worked with Randy and Barry for many years we recently formed Smart Dog Creative to pool our 50 years of experience in the film and broadcast industry.
Emmy-nominated Randy Simon produces and directs projects from concept to creation. Randy's experience includes productions for Theatrical Distribution, Network Broadcast, Live Events and Off-Broadway Theater. Having worked with Casey Affleck, Joe Brewster, Giancarlo Esposito, Madison Davis Lacy, Mos Def and James Schamus to name a few, Randy makes it a priority to produce and distribute socially relevant entertainment. In 2004 Randy established RFSwolf Entertainment LLC, working with The New York Yankees Joe Torre & Jorge Posada’s Foundations, NIH, National Park Services, NYCHHC, Children’s Aid Society, NYC Board of Ed, Sesame Street and many others to develop and deliver projects addressing gun violence, voting rights, child abuse, HIV, stroke awareness and school-related health issues.
Other notable projects include "America I Am" with Tavis Smiley, “Fitness Fighters" (an animated pilot series for National Institute of Environmental Health & Sciences and the National Park Services), and “African Burial Ground" installation, which commemorated the more than 50,000 slaves buried in the Wall Street area in New York City. Currently, Randy is Producer and Director for Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration Partners, which creates educational videos sponsored by Department of Energy and University of Kansas, University of Utah and New Mexico Tech. These videos educate consumers and legislators about the importance of carbon capture and promote a dialogue between environmental organizations and manufacturers about capturing, storing and utilizing carbon dioxide safely.
Barry Layne has led creative and marketing strategy for Smart Dog since its inception. Over his career, Barry has taken a Swiss-Army Knife approach to business – the more you can do the more impact you can have on clients, your own organization and important non-profit programs. During his career, Barry has held senior roles in Agencies, Entertainment and Production Companies, Media Organizations and Strategic Consultancy. His work has been recognized for its impact and excellence in both digital and analog worlds. Prior to Smart Dog, he held c-level and executive roles with the Ketchum Communications Worldwide, About, Inc, National Lampoon, Artist Direct, Star Branding, Engaging Choice and other organizations. He has also worked as a consultant and volunteer with the Team USA (USOC Boxing) and the Golden Gloves of America. Clients and partners have been as assorted as Acura/Honda, Pepsi, Astrablu, Pilgrim Media Group and Lionsgate Entertainment. Barry’s focus on strategic creative and marketing development has led to numerous awards and business successes.
Growing up in the Lower East Side of the greatest city in the world Randy Simon was always reminded that he came from a small village, in a small country in the Caribbean. A confessed TV-holic he spent much of his childhood absorbing the images, verbiage, morality and aesthetic meaning in every frame of some of television’s classics.
At 15, Mr. Simon began working as an assistant for several photographers and, in spite of the 6 years shooting everything from 35mm to 8x10mm format cameras, including still life’s, fashion/commercial modelling, industrials and interior/exterior architectural design he still managed to escape Fordham University with a BA in Media Literacy.
From Emmy-nominated Assistant Director to Producer for Sesame Street, Randy Simon has managed projects from concept to creation, since 1991. In 2004, Mr. Simon established RFSwolf Media Inc. to produce and distribute socially relevant entertainment- In the Presidential election of that year, Mr. Simon produced, wrote and directed several PSA’s that targeted minority voter participation and the 30 and 60 second spots were aired nationwide.
In theater, Mr. Simon has co-produced over 15 Off-Off Broadway musicals with producing partner and 5x Emmy award–winning Writer/Director Ian Ellis James. In addition to Mr. James, Mr. Simon has developed projects with prominent actors, writers and producers, such as Casey Affleck, Joe Brewster, Mos Def, Giancarlo Esposito, Madison Davis Lacy, James Schamus, and Christine Vachon to name just a few.
Since founding RFSwolf Media, Mr. Simon has collaborated with the NIH, National Park Services, New York City Housing Health Corporation, Children’s Aid Society, NYC Board of Ed, and many others to create projects which addressed such social issues such as Anti-Gun violence Public Service Announcements (PSA’s), Child Abuse, HIV Awareness, Stroke Awareness videos, School-Based Health Initiative and New York Yankees Joe Torre & Jorge Posada’s Foundations’ PSAs. He earlier served as Managing Director of Ketchum Interactive.

Hernan Valle was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. After studying film and photography at the University of Buenos Aires he obtained a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Hernan began his professional career working on various projects for Repsol YPF (Gas and Oil Company), Edenor (Electric Power Company), Aguas Argentina’s (Water purification and Sewer Company), Bingo Avellaneda (Casinos), Tetra Pak (Packaging), Terminal Zarate (Port terminal), M. Royo SA (steel industries). After 20 years Hernan moved to New York to reinvent himself and expand into the larger markets on a new venture.
Within months of arriving in New York City Hernan’s talent allowed him to compete and successfully work with companies and brands such as EMG Concepts (Jack Daniels, Don Omar), CMN (Simple Mobile, Coors Light, Bud Light) One World Marketing Group (Dewars, Corona, Tecate, Clamatto, Jhonnie Walker, Heineken.)
Currently Hernan works independently with clients such as New York Presbyterian Hospital, Cooking Channel, Port Authority Airports, Parsons School of Design, NYC Restaurants, ESPN Deportes Radio, Pepsi, NAPW, Harman Kardon, among others, and having participated festivals like Woodstock Film Festival, Dances with Films and LA Short Fest presented alongside short films Lomard Twins "insurrectionists" and "Free Expression".

Josh is an editor, colorist, photographer, and drone operator. He has worked on commercials, music videos, short films, and much more. He was senior editor at an Emmy Award-Winning sports ad agency in NYC. He has worked with such music artist as Jay Z, Drake, and Teyana Tylor. As well as big corporate companies such as Pepsi, Gatorade, NY Mets, Brooklyn Nets, and Def Jam Records.
